Mine or Construction Equipment Field Mechanic

Job Description:We are looking for an experienced mine or construction equipment mechanic

This role will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, replacing, adjusting, and maintaining mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment and systems on a variety of mine, quarry and earth-moving/construction equipment.(any and all large underground and quarry type of mining equipment as well as earth-moving or land clearing equipment)

Proficiency with one or more of the following: Caterpillar, Komatsu, Terex, Ingersoll Rand, Volvo, John Deere, Case IH.

Must be fluent and comfortable with-Recognizing malfunctioning equipment, diagnosing problems, developing effective solutions, and performing repair work safely, efficiently and with reliability in mind -Dismantling, cleaning, fabricating, repairing, replacing, laying out, installing, maintaining, assembling, adjusting, lubricating and reassembling heavy underground and quarry related mining equipment-Problem solving and troubleshooting with computer diagnostic and maintenance management systems and other computer software programs

Required-

A high school diploma or equivalent -

Ability to successfully pass a basic mechanical abilities practical test-

MSHA Underground Mine Certifications preferred

Computer Diagnostics experience Mandatory

Preferred - AA Diesel Technology -Welding / Fabrication skills
