1 Resource Group, a company specializing in providing skilled trades to the construction industry, is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our clients team of technicians. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic -you will work in their Shop in Harrison, Ohio. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of heavy equipment used in construction projects, such as excavation and grading. Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on various heavy equipment, including but not limited to backhoes, bulldozers, excavators, and skid steers.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy equipment.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment in order to prevent safety hazards and improve performance.
  • Identify parts needed for repair and order them as necessary.
  • Keep records of all maintenance and parts orders.
  • Communicate effectively with the production team and supervisors to ensure equipment is operating properly.
  • Ensure shop is clean and organized at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of engine functions, diagnostic tools, and maintenance techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
  • Strong working knowledge of heavy equipment operations and safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current driver's license.
