Job Title: Help Desk Support Service Specialist (Third Shift)

Location: Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL

Duration: Long Term

Clearance: Secret or Top Secret

Client: US Army- LOGSA

Description:

  • Under general supervision, provides second-tier support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications and hardware. Handles problems that the first-tier of help desk support is unable to resolve. May interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem. Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
  • Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems.
  • Maintains currency and high level of technical skill in field of expertise. Escalates more complex problems to Senior Level.

Required Skills:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years' experience as a Computer Technician / Desktop Support Specialist or related OR Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years' experience as a Computer Technician / Desktop Support Specialist or related
  • General knowledge of mainframe application and hardware
  • Customer Service
  • Troubleshooting

Preferred Skills:

  • 2 years' experience managing to and meeting delivery deadlines in a government contracting environment
  • 2 years' experience with multimedia design (PowerPoint, Visio)
