Title: Help Desk/Tier 1

Location: Government-site. Navy Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH

Client: SUBMEPP

Certification: COMPTIA A+ or Security+

Clearance: SECRET with IT-II background investigation

Description:

  • Candidate is to provide Tier 1 Help Desk support to the Navy program SUBMEPP.
  • The successful candidate shall have the capability and experience to provide help desk ticket resolution in a knowledgeable, friendly and professional manner.

Required Skills:

  • Meet SUBMEPP established Service / Support Level Requirements for call response and Customer Support Service.
  • Input trouble calls into the SUBMEPP ticket tracking system. Ensure required information for incident resolution is gathered and documented.
  • Analyze and resolve help desk tickets in accordance with contract performance measures and SUBMEPP operational guides; in person at the help desk, over phone, through email, and/or other electronic means.
  • Escalate help desk tickets when required by service desk processes to either Tier 2, Tier 3, or appropriate team/individual.
  • Provide follow-up service to end-users via email, phone, or face to face to ensure that service provided by the Help Desk has addressed their needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Fully document call resolution in the SUBMEPP ticket tracking system and ensure all notes are maintained in the ticket tracking system and Knowledge Base articles are published to SUBMEPP's knowledge base repository when applicable.
  • Maintain existing and when required create new work procedures (WPs) on SUBMEPP LAN in support of this task for common Help Desk processes and activities.
  • Support, maintain, and optimize all production IT systems to include but not limited to devices such as printers, scanners, copiers, and fax devices.
  • Experience: 1 to 5 years in a computer science or related field
  • Education: 2-year degree in Information Systems field
