Job Summary:
As the Herd Manager at Eleven Farms, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing many aspects of farm operations and ensuring the efficient management of resources. Located in Elliottsburg, PA, in scenic Perry County, our farm specializes in robotic dairy farming and the management of a herd of 120 Holstein dairy cows and replacements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of our farm operation.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee aspects of herd management, including but not limited to herd health, reproduction, and feeding using farm machinery.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Monitor and evaluate herd performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards related to food safety, animal welfare, and environmental stewardship.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to procure necessary resources and supplies for farm operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to farm herd management.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in herd management or a similar role within the agriculture industry.
- Strong knowledge of dairy farming practices, including herd management, nutrition, herd health.
- Physical stamina, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and perform tasks in various weather conditions.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and farm management software is desirable.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the farm.
