Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in the deployment and migration of data and analytics
applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud data warehousing, data engineering, machine learning
model deployment, and implementation of analytics solutions at scale.
Your primary responsibility will be to successfully migrate a 3rd party hosted key business tool to IMI Critical
Engineerings Azure cloud environment. The tool is a critical part of our quotation process.
In addition, you will support the expansion of our cloud data warehouse, and play a key role in productionising several
high-profile Analytics and AI tools for the business and our customers. Your contributions will drive top-line growth,
optimise operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and System
Administrators, to understand the pricing model and create a comprehensive migration plan. Assess the
compatibility, dependencies, and requirements of the model for successful migration.
Set up and configure the necessary infrastructure (Azure cloud) to support the migration. This may include
provisioning virtual machines, containers, storage, networking, and other resources required for deploying and
running the model.
Design and implement a robust strategy for transferring data and code to IMIs environment. Collaborate with
the Data and Analytics team to deploy the pricing model.
Establish delivery pipelines to enable efficient and reliable updates to the model in the future.

plc and our divisions here: Develop/configure monitoring systems and alerts to track the models performance, availability, and accuracy
in the new environment. Regularly monitor and analyse metrics to identify and resolve any issues or
bottlenecks.
Create detailed guidance documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions with relevant teams to
ensure seamless operation and maintenance of the migrated model. Establish and document best practice for
future migrations or deployments.
Contribute to the development/deployment of further high-profile Analytics and AI solutions for the business.
Critical Competencies for Success
Graduate or post-graduate university degree in a related discipline (such as Computer Science or
Engineering), plus a minimum of 5 years experience in a DevOps, Data Engineering, and/or Software
Development role.
Expert in cloud infrastructure (particularly Microsoft Azure)
Experience in automation engineering (e.g. Terraform)
Strong coding skills (e.g. Python)
Understanding of networking, security, and data protection principles in cloud environments
Understanding of DevOps principles, practices and tooling with ability to design and manage CI/CD pipelines
Security engineering and testing practices (e.g. penetration testing, vulnerability, performance)
Experienced in Agile/Scrum working practices.
Experience with data preparation tools
Experience of working in the industrial/engineering sector or equivalent domain expertise.
Able to work for team with limited DevOps experience and take ownership of migration/deployment projects
