Position Description

The purpose of this position is to perform all aspects of oversight and management of the Maricopa County Human Services Department COVID-19 isolation hotel for people experiencing homelessness and the County-funded non-congregate temporary shelter hotels locations for people experiencing homelessness.

Essential Job Tasks:

Day to Day Operations a. Daily check in with nonprofit shelter partners at each location b. Daily check in with Security Teams at each location

Food/Catering Management - Personal Touch Catering a. Weekly meal count for each hotel location - Provide this to caterer by Wednesday at 4 pm b. Coordination and pick up of Food Bank items (Wednesdays at 11am)

Security Management -PES a. Checking logs (ensure daily logs are maintained and 911 issues are tracked) b. Lead Wednesday 9 am conference call with PES, CTC, CBI c. Work with PES on staffing issues d. Address complaints regarding security from partners e. Take lead on non-medical issues where police are called to the site

Hotel Owners/Management Communication a. Ensure each property is being maintained correctly, discuss with hotel ownership any concerns) b. Coordinate issues with management regarding items in rooms that need repair

Cleaning a. Oversee hotel's response when COVID isolation cleaning is needed b. Oversee non-congregate shelter locations to be sure cleaning is occurring according to contractual terms

Room keys a. Facilitate Re-key as needed for partners

Purchase Requests a. Prepare purchase request for anything onsite needed (hygiene, office supplies, cleaning supplies, etc.) b. Purchase requests are submitted to Assistant Director for pr

Strong organization skills Customer Service Exp Previous purchasing exp Microsoft Suite exp Excel - ability to do reporting in excel Ability to change direction quickly Flexible personality Compassionate

Skills Preferred

Purchasing Negotiating Know of the County

Experience Required

Must hold a valid Arizona driving license Contract Administration Previous Homeless services experience Managing budget Reporting on budgets

Education Required

GED/HS prefers Associate - Experience with Homeless can be used in place of degrees

Education Preferred

4 year college degree.
