Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) and contributing to cutting-edge research in collaborative robotics, physical human-robotic interaction, and social human-robot interaction? We are seeking a talented individual to join our team and drive innovation in HRI.

Responsibilities:

Conduct ambitious research in perception for robotic systems, solving open problems of high practical value and validating solutions in real-world benchmarks and systems.
Implement state-of-the-art perception algorithms and research to run in real-time, integrating seamlessly into high-performance systems, including planning and control.
Advance knowledge in Human-Machine Interaction and Shared Control in robotics and autonomous contexts.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of research scientists and engineers across interdisciplinary teams and with our partners.
Stay updated on the state-of-the-art in computer vision, robotic perception, signal processing, machine learning, speech and language processing, cloud computing, big data, and data engineering.
Present research results through verbal and written communications, internally and at top international venues, and contribute to open-source projects.
Lead collaborations with external research partners and mentor research interns.
Qualifications:

A bachelors or above in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry) or deep expertise in a key area (Computer Vision, Robotics, Speech and Language Processing) or related fields is a plus.
Proficiency in scientific Python, Unix, and robotic frameworks (e.g., ROS2.0), as well as common DL frameworks (preferably PyTorch). Experience with distributed learning (especially on AWS, Azure, GoogleCloud, WisdomCloud) is a plus.
Strong practical experience in computer vision for robotic systems, including geometric computer vision (camera calibration, optimization, filtering/smoothing frameworks, key point, and descriptor extraction).
Consistent track record of publishing in high-impact conferences/journals (CVPR, CoRL, RSS, ICRA, ICCV, ECCV, PAMI, IJCV, etc.) centered around computer vision and perception.
Ability to identify, propose, and lead new research projects, collaborating with other researchers and engineers to bring ideas from inception to a working solution.
Passion for developing and applying human-centric artificial intelligence for societal good.
Reliable team player with a deep-thinking mindset and a commitment to openness and integrity.
