This position is a contract HR Manager role and is a key member of the location Leadership team. Provides general expertise to management on all areas of HR, or may be responsible for select functions within HR including employment, planning, and development. May also be responsible for training and new employee orientation. Duties may include promotion of good employee relations, development of training, safety, and health programs. The position will have a dual reporting responsibility to the Plant Manager and the Director of HR.

  • Implement human resources strategies by establishing department accountability, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, employee relations and retention, and AA/EEO compliance.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to location leadership.
  • Ensure the safety of the companys most valuable asset, its employees, through HR support of EHS initiatives and programs designed to reduce or eliminate risk.
  • Final processing of weekly payroll functions.
  • Drive and support employee recognition efforts.
  • Manage talent review; support all talent and planning activities.
  • Drive and support Employee Engagement Survey action items.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in business or related HR-discipline; or equivalent on the job experience.
  • 5+ years related HR generalist or manager experience.
  • HR experience in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office and HRIS skills
  • A consistent track record for executing performance objectives and delivering results with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a Leadership role, preferably in HR environment
  • HR experience with both hourly and salaried employees

Job Type: Contract Role 36-month duration

Pay: $35-$40 per hour
