Hyperbaric Tech This position is the Hyperbaric Safety Director for the Wound Care Center and performs duties under supervision of the Medical Director/ Program Director as appropriate for the program. Will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems. Responsible for the day-to day maintenance on the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems. Duties include: assists in patient preparation for treatment. Reinforces education as it relates to hyperbaric therapy, keeps complete and accurate patient records as they pertain to treatment documentation. Supports clinical hyperbaric chamber operations and system maintenance as required. Participates in the safety program. Utilizing data software for wound management, make appropriate entries for daily hyperbaric treatments and wound care clinic visits, including photo uploading. Lift patient or transfer and tolerate pressurization and depressurization in a hyperbaric chamber. QUALIFICATIONS: Attend an approved HBO Safety course & an approved Hyperbaric Safety Director course post hire, be certified as a CHT or DMT within 1 year of hire. Maintains and demonstrates competency in Basic Life Support, infections control, safety and all unit required skill review. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or certificate equivalent. Be certified and or licensed in one of the following vocations.
