Role : ICU Director RN Location : Snellville, Georgia Job Type : Permanent Full Time Client : Eastside Medical Center Shift : Shift will be discussed when they interview. Client Brief - Currently recruiting a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit-Director in Snellville, Georgia to practice in a 310-bed facility.
- The hospital employs over 1200 people plus 500 physicians and 400 volunteers.
- The facility has earned many awards and offers many services to include a NICU, cardiology, and maternity services.
Job Responsibilities of the ICU DIRECTOR RN: - Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
- Collaborating with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes
- As the Intensive Care Unit Director, you will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
- You will assume responsibility for clinical and resource management of the unit (24hrs/day).
- You will integrate the department s services with the hospital s primary functions and mission.
- You will coordinate and integrate services within their department and with other departments.
- You will develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support provision of patient care and services.
- You will oversee care of the population served by providing support and expertise to staff.
- Communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities
- Accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and promoting a positive image of nursing
Qualifications & Education for the ICU DIRECTOR RN: - Current American Heart Association BLS Certification and ACLS.
- Three to five years of clinical experience within critical care required.
- One to two years of supervisory experience required.
- Current Georgia license required.
- 3 years ICU/CCU experience. Must have supervised over 35 FTE.
- Experience in a busy ICU with CRRT, IMPELLA, STROKE
- Georgia RN licensure
- Bachelor' s Degree required, MSN preferred
- Experience with quality metrics (e.G. Vent days, HAI CLABSI, CAUTI)
- Computer Skills
Compensation and Benefits for the ICU DIRECTOR RN: - Salary: $50 per hour, depending on years of experience
