Lead Specialist Data Science (D1) (Anaplan Modeler)

What can you expect?

The Anaplan modeler role would entail:
Assisting in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining data architecture and pipelines.
Processing vast quantities of satellite image (GIS Maps) data into beautiful, visual products that provide actionable information.
Generating reports with GIS illustrating relevant parameter
Web scrapping using python to fetch data from multiple online sources, cleanse it and build APIs if needed.
Contributing in developing frameworks for automating and maintaining constant flow of data from multiple sources
Assisting in building risk modelling projects which require end to end data capture, management as well as building models using statistical and data science techniques.
Harmonizing datasets using AI/ML and parse information from scanned PDF documents or internal data platforms
Contributing in developing, designing and testing data visualization reports, dashboards, KPIs, and insights in data viz. tools
After initial prototype and testing, liaises with the Digital team to put the model into production.

We will count on you to:

Understand business planning processes and related business requirements. Develop and maintain solid knowledge on Firms financial Planning system.
Design effectively and efficiently to cover processes and requirements into detailed blueprint: Enterprise models with associated Modules, Lists / Line items, and calculations as supported by multi-dimensional Anaplan platform.
Should be able to integrate Anaplan models with other third party Legacy systems.
Candidate should possess sound knowledge of SDLC/ALM within Anaplan and should be able to configure & push changes from Dev to Prod environments and troubleshoot fixes if any.
Should be well versed with Data Hub concepts and maintain hierarchies in Spoke models.
Candidate should possess good knowledge of processes and should be able to create them and club actions within such processes (Imports/Exports).
Should be well versed with Anaplan formulae and functions.
Should be able to maintain List Item Subsets and at times work with Line Item Subsets. It will be essential to have experience with these concepts.
Perform functional and technical testing of system projects; bug fixes and enhancements.
Lead the team for Anaplan service line ticket and resolution
Participate in prioritizing system issues for Business team; Participate in regular calls with Business team to keep track of progress


Certifications
: L1 Model Builder, L2 Model Builder, TAW (The Anaplan Way), L3 Model Builder, Anaplan Solution Architect. CA/MBA/BTech

Note
: Master Anaplanner will be preferred.


What you need to have:

Overall, 6-8 years of IT experience
3 to 4 years of experience in successfully implementing Anaplan solutions with at-least 1 to 2 years of experience as an Anaplan Solution Architect or L3 Model Builder.
Strong expertise and deep understanding of multi-dimensional modeling tools and optimizing the design for performance.
Expert skills of Excel spreadsheet modeling, macros, pivot tables, formulas, charts, etc.
Ability to translate current customer spreadsheet models to effective and efficient Anaplan model designs. Design ability to translate complex excel models into scalable multi-dimensional Anaplan models.
Strong client/business facing skills.
Familiarity with Anaplan Agile methodology, Finance FP&A Function.
Knowledge of Insurance Industry will be an added advantage


Education:

Graduate (any stream)

Eligibility:

Minimum 4 plus years
Minimum 12 months experience as Senior Specialist/Lead Specialist
Should have at least On Track or equivalent rating in last appraisal
Should not be under any Performance Continuity Plan, or had any official Disciplinary action within the last 3 months.
Should not have applied for any other IJP within Mercer in the last 3 months.
