MMC ACCOUNTING OPERATIONS
MMC is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Mumbai, India office:


Specialist - Accounting Operations

What can you expect? A member of the Finance function who will work with Accounting Operations process. Working closely with the onshore teams

We will count on you for the below:
Strong understanding of accounting concepts and terminologies
Preparation and review of journal entries relating to people cost accruals, cost reclass per business instructions, Bonus capitalization and amortization journals etc.
Strong understanding of financial statements and how to interpret them
Adherence to operation tracker set for the team and ensure completeness with accuracy
Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting the team in clearance of old outstanding items
Ensuring all activities are completed with accurately and within the agreed timelines for month close / quarterly / year end reporting
What you need to have:
Any relevant Accounting degree, CA qualified preferable
3+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting profile
Prior experience in working in similar roles
Attention to detail and accuracy of work
Ability to cope with large volumes of data
Good communication skills
Must have worked on MS Excel
Must have worked on accounting software
Must be keen to learn
Willingness to work in shifts (including night shift).


Eligibility Criteria

Minimum 12 months experience as Senior Analyst/ Specialist
Should have at least On track or above in last appraisal
Should not be under any Performance Continuity Plan, or had any official Disciplinary action within the last 3 months
Should not have applied for any other IJP within Mercer in the last 3 months

What makes you stand out? Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel Strong knowledge of fundamentals of accounting
