--This position is 30 hours a week--

Resource will assist with an effort to create strategic IT roadmaps for State agencies.

The rapid roadmapping effort will report to the Deputy CTO for Strategic Engagement and leverage a framework jointly created by the team and Gartner.

Specifically, the goals of the effort include:
Establish Baseline Agency Roadmaps
Inform Enterprise Technology Roadmap
Create Process to Sustain Agency and Enterprise Roadmaps

Requirements

General Responsibilities:
Oversees the day-to-day execution of the rapid roadmapping initiative to ensure successful execution of this effort initiatives and overall IT roadmap to materialize them
Oversees the execution of the rapid roadmapping methodology based on the framework established with Gartner
Leverages information gleaned during the rapid roadmapping effort to support the definition of the enterprise architecture (EA) and technology standards
Serve as a high-level, highly visible diplomat to agencies
Review, revise, and implement policies, practices, standards, and tools that support the roadmapping effort
Develop and provide a clear, concise, and actionable message around roadmapping deliverables.
Build strong relationships across the IT community in support of roadmapping
Work directly with senior managers and staff supporting all facets of the company's service delivery.
Manage staff and teams, as needed.

Required Skills

6 years Extensive experience developing, reviewing, and implementing a portfolio of IT services and/or products for a mid-to-large-sized enterprise.

6 years Extensive experience engaging with customer audiences, eliciting and understanding needs and concerns, and delivering a cost-efficient strategy.

6 years Experience working closely with and collaborating with leadership at the highest corporate levels of an agency, enterprise, business, or organization.

6 years - Capacity to maintain tact, diplomacy, and mindfulness in engagement with highly visible and highly demanding stakeholders at a variety of levels.

6 years - Experience with understanding, developing, refining, and eliminating KPI's and quality service measures (IT, Security, Data Mgmt) enterprise level.

6 years - Experience managing large enterprise-type projects that involve multiple internal stakeholders or contracted resources.

6 years - Experience developing, monitoring, and maintaining project plans and communicating project status to management and project stakeholders.

6 years - Experience developing, monitoring, and maintaining project plans and communicating project status to management and project stakeholders.

6 years - Experience mentoring and providing guidance to other roadmapping team members including recommending training and experience.


Work is broad in scope requiring extensive judgment in adopting techniques to meet the information technology requirements, specifications, standards, and procedures of a complex enterprise-wide system. Work requires attention to detail and understanding of the impact that IT service delivery has across not only the Executive Branch, but also the entire state. This position carries both high visibility and high expectations, requiring exceptional knowledge, and relationship building.

This position will work closely with individuals representing the highest levels of the company, senior managers and subject matter experts, senior leaders from the Executive Branch, and senior leaders in the IT community (local, state, national), as well as agency personnel, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders as needed.

We are looking for a results-driven strategic planner to assess the short and long-term goals of the company and suggest ways to accomplish them. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent analytical skills and be able to use sound logic to make observations about current methods and where strategic opportunities exist at the agency and enterprise levels.
