POSITION

IT Director

The IT Director leads the development and execution of strategic IT plans that support the company's objectives, ensuring alignment of technology roadmaps with organizational growth.

The IT Director oversees infrastructure management, evaluates emerging technologies, and ensures employees receive essential support and training. Additionally, this role will prioritize cybersecurity measures adhering to NIST standards and manage the IT budget to ensure cost-effective technology integration and expenditure oversight.

This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer with the work being performed at Xplore in Redmond, Washington.

Requirements

Current U.S. citizen or current lawful permanent resident of the U.S.

Able to work onsite, full-time at Xplore's offices in Redmond, Washington.

3+ years of demonmstrated experience in IT management.

Proven track record of providing an innovation environment at companies or divisions between 20-50 people.

Demonstrated ability to manage servers, firewalls, routers, and other network infrastructure.

Demonstrated ability to admin email, collaboration, and other SaaS tools.

Demonstrated skills managing AWS and Azure cloud services with software development teams.

Demonstrated experience with Facility Management key card, security system management, and coordination with Building Management company.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other relevant area.

FileMaker database expertise is desirable, but not required.

Expertise running small and medium sized business IT systems in a growing company, desirable but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES Include

Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies to support the company's goals, ensuring technology roadmaps are in line with organizational growth and needs.

IT Infrastructure: Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and upgrading of hardware, software, networks, and other critical IT systems.

Technology Evaluation and Adoption: Stay current with technological trends and innovations, evaluate new solutions, and make recommendations for technology investments that can benefit the company.

User Support and Training: Ensure that employees have access to the technology resources they need and provide or coordinate training sessions to improve staff proficiency with IT tools and systems.

Cybersecurity Oversight: Ensure that the company's digital assets are protected by implementing and maintaining security protocols, conducting regular vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. (NIST standard compliance).

Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology solutions and monitoring IT expenditures.

TOP PRIORITIES to be ACCOMPLISHED DURING the FIRST 6 MONTHS:

Maintain and monitor network security systems and firewall.

On-board and train new and existing employees in the effective use of our software solutions and information systems.

Work with the software development team to maintain and monitor our cloud environments.

Work with the software development team to maintain and monitor our locally hosted environments.

Plan software and hardware improvement roadmap to grow with the company.

Perform cyber security audit for compliance and insurance purposes.

COMPENSATION

The base salary range for this role is $105K-$125K

Company Stock Options included in this role.

Health Care Plan
Employees (and their families) can be covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. The HSA qualified plan is for full-time employees working 30 hours or more per week.


Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
Full time employees earn PTO at a rate of 1.33 days per month. There are a minimum of 13 paid holidays each year for full-time employees.

The company offers an equity incentive plan for qualified full-time employees.
