Job Description
Position Summary
The IT Finance Analyst is responsible for capturing and reporting actual spend on IT functions including hardware, software, personnel, and services. They also oversee and manage financial accounting, billing, reporting, and transaction processing and control activities across IT finances.
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluates financial impact of strategic decisions
- Identifies and obtains financial resources necessary to support financial reporting processes
- Provides input to the strategic direction of IT based on financial analysis and reporting capabilities
- Ensure business users are billed for services provided to them according to agreed terms and conditions
- Review figures, documents, and journal entry postings for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper account coding for the general ledgers
- Reconcile or direct the reconciliation of various accounts receivable and other balance sheet accounts
- Prepare, coordinate, and communicate monthly financial calendar close
- Liaison with other functions regarding cost analysis and chargeback
- Report IT financial performance, analyze variance (budgeted costs versus actual costs) and support budget decision making
Candidate Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and 1-5 years of related work experience OR 8 years of related work experience
- High degree of attention to detail and organization
- Works well in collaborative/team environment
- Outstanding Excel and modeling skills
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting
