Summary:

The IT Business Analyst (ITBA) is a critical team member of the Solutions Delivery team and serves in an Enterprise-wide capacity. The ITBA works collaboratively with business partners and stakeholders and is responsible to research and elicit, analyze, validate and document business requirements, and to ensure those requirements clearly reflect true business needs, correctly representing all stakeholders. The ITBA bridges the work between the business customers, Engineering and other IT teams while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.

As the company continues to move forward with innovation and optimization the ITBA will need to bring technical, functional, and product knowledge to analyze effective solutions within key lines of business with specific focus or experience around customer journeys/experience, managing/supporting User Acceptance Testing develop comprehensive scenarios and E2E test cases, managing testing and working with business owners through the entire testing process thus you may take on difficult and sometimes ambiguous challenges in a fast-changing environment. We are looking for candidate with various experience across the enterprise (i.e., Back Office solutions or equivalent). The ITBA will work to provide alignment from business, IT and be a hands-on team member.

We are looking for a passionate advocate with strong business acumen and technical skills, that can identify strengths and weaknesses within the Business and IT, then drive process and procedure improvements. The role will utilize exceptional customer/partner empathy, program and project management skills, along with effective communication and collaboration, to successfully launch business critical solutions.

What will you be doing?

This role focuses on Loyalty Marketing functions within the retail enterprise - growing and retaining existing customers through incentives. The IT Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing the benefit to the organization by establishing which activities are necessary to meet the program's goals & objectives and is responsible for the centralized coordinated management of those activities. Within programs, the ITBA may also act as a lead driving the execution of discreet activities as needed.

Key IT Business Analyst Responsibilities

  • Document Business Processes (current state and future state) and perform gap analysis related to loyalty marketing
  • Synthesize and analyze information from various sources to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Drive requirements development, analysis, validation and verification, ensuring requirements are complete, consistent and concise.
  • Partner with various teams to identify key information gaps and share that information.
  • Identify and document user journey's, epics, and stories that delivery outstanding customer/user experience.
  • Work closely with engineering to handoff requirements (for the Dynamics 365 experience) and develop the personas and use cases for functional testing and user acceptance testing for full validation.
  • Communication Management: Ensures timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and ultimate disposition of program information.
  • Scope / Change Management: Controlling what is included and not included in the program while ensuring all work required to complete the program is successfully is included.
  • Solution Architecture: Ensures that the solutions meet critical business need.
  • Quality Management: Ensures that the program will satisfy the needs for which it is was undertaken.
  • Schedule Management: Ensures coordinated scheduling of activities, such as testing.
  • Risk / Issue Management: Identification, analysis, responding to and tracking program issues and risks.
  • Enjoys being in an entrepreneurial environment and acting as a change agent, evangelizing new ideas.
  • Work in conjunction with Solutions Delivery Managers (SDM), cross functional business managers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to define project and program requirements.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders on business process engineering, system requests, and operational issues.
  • Support/Manage user acceptance testing across functional teams.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively across project teams.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum preferred.

    • Experienced and knowledge around software/systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Projects.
    • Experience and knowledge around enterprise software/systems projects, like CRM, ERP, or comparable.
    • Ability to take on difficult and sometimes ambiguous challenges.
    • Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks and prioritize work efforts in order to accomplish most critical task first and meet deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information.
    • Ability to deal with multiple concurrent projects and their shifting schedules and changing priorities.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum 4-6+ years of associated work experience.
    • Evidence of having strong attention to detail.
    • Evidence of career advancement and ability & willingness to take on responsibilities above and beyond your prescribed role.
    • Knowledge of loyalty marketing functions a plus.
    • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 user experience a plus.
