The Senior Analyst, Governance will focus on creating and implementing project management governance standards and practices in the support of Technology teams. This role will be coordinating with our technology and financial partners to support and operationalize our procedures, as well as participate in process creation, enhancement and governance.
Responsibilities :
Support Technology Project and Program Governance Program
Research and report on project management practices, services, impacts to data quality, consistency and overall value to the company
Document and report on existing practices with Technology teams to stay a breast of existing practices and challenges with compliance
Review and analyze projects and programs.
Draft and help implement recommended improvements to process and procedures for projects.
Participate in policy creation and management.
Analyze potential impacts of policy choices under consideration.
Participate in project review processes to verify projects and teams are in line with standard, policies and best practices
Identify and document potential gaps in policies, procedures, and project governance solutions
Provide Project Management Process Support
Review campaigns for alignment with internal policies and external regulations
Educate teams on existing best practices and standards
Support Project Managers with reviews and analysis of project data
Review requests for enhancements to project management standards
Support on demand requests and shifting organizational priorities
Work closely with technology leadership to understand needs/challenges, assess potential impacts, and assist with compliance
Required:
- 5+ years’ experience in technology projects, including project management and financials (capital and expense)
- Working knowledge of VersionOne, Jira, Clarity
- Excellent relationship and communication skills with demonstrated ability to partner successfully across all levels and functions
- Demonstrable experience in training teams and individuals to adapt to new process and procedures
- Experience dealing with cross-functional, multi-business processes and projects
- Strong Presentation creation and delivery skills using various tools and mediums
- Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate challenging messages across all levels
- Ability to self-organize and work independently
- Ability to work within a team and lead as needed
- Working knowledge of full software development life cycles including agile methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Technology Project Governance Experience
- PMP Certification
