T2 Tech Group is looking for a talented IT Project Manager to join the team. This candidate will be responsible for providing project management and leadership for the successful assessment, design, and implementation of projects for T2 Tech clients in the Healthcare Industry. Types of projects could include healthcare and non-healthcare focused projects for example: virtual desktop implementation, EHR implementation or optimization, radiology, pharmacy, or lab applications, HR systems, HL7 interfaces and cloud implementations.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience managing large-scale IT projects, preferably within healthcare/mission-critical environments supporting end users. This candidate will also have a strong understanding of IT project lifecycles and associated processes, tools and control checkpoints. Successful candidates will have the ability to develop flexible and efficient plans and manage multiple priorities while fostering an environment of team building and coordination. In addition a successful candidate will be able to understand the technical nature of a project at a high level in order to best lead technical teams.

As T2 Tech is a consulting firm, Interpersonal skills are highly regarded and critical for this position and successful team environments. This candidate will need to be comfortable communicating with, and presenting to clients, including leadership and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop user/client requirements and deploy systems on time and within budget
• Provide project management and leadership for infrastructure/application projects including:
  • Technical guidance, resource planning, scheduling, and financial plans
• Provide oversight and direction to infrastructure/application technical managers, engineers, and systems architects for projects within their areas
• Work directly with project teams to gather and document requirements, tasks, schedules, costs, key activities and roles
• Develop plans and track their execution through final production delivery and transition to an operational state
• Lead project teams through all of the key phases: discovery, initiation, project execution, control and closure
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelors degree
• 5+ years previous IT project management experience
• Experience managing infrastructure and/or application projects
• Experience in the healthcare industry
• EXCELLENT communication, interpersonal and customer support skills
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work in a team environment

Desired Requirements

• PMP or related certification
• Experience with Agile project management methodology
• Previous consulting experience
• Experience working within healthcare provider organizations such as hospitals, medical centers or health systems.
• Experience interfacing directly with hospital staff (clinical and stakeholders)
• Ability to understand technical components of projects
