This position will play a key role in accelerating our Finance Transformation journey by implementing critical Financials Cloud systems and architecting solutions that support future needs. We are looking for a hands-on SDET who will work with Product Managers, Developers, and cross-functional global teams in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment to understand features and technical implementation.

As a critical thinker with a natural curiosity to learn our customers' business, you will use your skills to extract user scenarios from conversations and data and then translate your findings into automatable test plans which either you or a member of the team will automate.
You'll play a vital role in implementing and establishing automation of our new onboarding platform.
You'll identify use cases, create test cases, and automate testing within our CI/CD process.
This role works independently under minimal guidance providing coaching and mentoring for junior Test Engineers.
As a Senior QE Engineer at SVB, you must be able to understand software internals, debug problems, and automate repetitive tasks with scripting tools and user-level automation tools.
Once Here You Will: Write and execute automation testing for REST APIs and web-based applications as well as maintain existing automated tests and tools.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders for crafting test plans, resolving test scenarios and constantly update the existing test sets.
Review and understand project or application requirements, conduct ambiguity review Pair with software engineers to identify and prevent gaps with automation/regression coverage and even build frameworks.
Design and implement automation frameworks that work across multiple platforms Be part of transforming monolithic applications into more scalable and resilient distributed systems with high quality, using cloud technology.
Assist in building and configuring test environments, manage and create test data Prepare robust test strategy, test plan, test cases, log defects and produce status reports Follow a lightweight Scrum/Kanban methodology Utilize JIRA as the defect tracking system and report issues promptly and accurately Ensure reproducibility, auditability and traceability of deliverables Leverage your extensive experience in previous projects to guard code quality and take opportunities to mentor juniors.

What You'll Bring:
Demonstrated hands-on technical experience in test-driven development (TDD, BDD), automation development, and large-scale test automation frameworks. Proficient with at least one programming/scripting language such as Java, JavaScript, Python, etc. Experience with using and setting up performance testing tools such as Selenium, WebDriver, and Jenkins Experience with QA strategies such as mocking, pairwise testing, UI and API level testing Ability to design and plan testing conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control Experience with JIRA and ALM Familiarity with Confluence, Bitbucket and Maven Bonus points for experience in testing React applications Bonus points for experience testing Appian BPA applications Bonus points for experience in the Banking Industry and with Micro-services architecture. Bonus points for experience with AWS, Docker and Jenkins/Drone and Mobile automation.
