Location:

This is a hybrid work from home position. Applicants must live in the New York City Metropolitan area. Travel to client sites within the New York City Metropolitan area is required.

The Role:

We are looking for a full time, IT Support Technician to join our growing team. The right candidate is a talented professional with a passion to develop their skill set by working with our team. We provide service to companies around the country with a heavy focus on cyber security and virtualization technologies.


Responsibilities:

  • Must be eager to grow their technological skills to help us maintain our industry-leading position and be passionate about applying their skills to our business model that best facilitates smooth and efficient business operations.
  • Take on a large amount of responsibility in the company this role will be incredibly impactful for the company and many tasks are to be undertaken by you independently.
  • Report directly to the CTO of the company. This role will in involve working side by side with our CTO as he will be your trainer!

Daily tasks include:

  • Client site visits in the NYC metropolitan area
  • End user support and training
  • Working alongside our engineering team to deliver white glove service to our clients
  • Configuring and Managing Windows Servers
  • Managing systems such as Endpoint Protection and Firewalls
  • Managing Monitoring Systems and Alerting
  • Managing the Backups Operations
  • Roll out OS/Software Security Updates to Servers and Endpoints
  • Roll out new security measures and enhancements
  • Provide design, implementation, analysis, and documentation services around server-based computing solutions.




Compensation:

Compensation will depend on experience but is extremely competitive with an incentive-based bonus plan available.

We also have an excellent health benefit plan along with vision and dental.

Salary range for this position is $50,000 to $80,000 per annum.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as server virtualization
  • Knowledge of Microsoft server and workstation operating systems, registry settings, DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP networking, and firewalls
  • Experience with disaster recovery and regaining access and functionality to IT infrastructure a plus
  • Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience interacting with end users to provide technical support and gather feedback
  • Ability to present solutions that were designed and implemented to high level management
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines along with associated deliverables
  • Strong verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Desire and ability to learn new technologies and the ability to multi-task to deliver services using various technologies to multiple companies
  • Experience working with different size firms (including small companies of less than 50 users to large companies of more than 1000 users) and data center environments


Pluses:

  • Working knowledge of VDIs
  • Experience working with monitoring and management solutions such as NOC software and PSAs
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange, SQL, Office Communications Server
  • Experience with Cisco based solutions such as router/switch implementation and VoIP based solutions
  • Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity best practices
  • Experience with SSL VPNs
  • Scripting or programming experience
