Investigates and recommends industrial engineering solutions for production and product related quality, manufacturing, or process issues. Develops and conducts Lean Manufacturing training and Seminars for Engineering and Production Staff. Plans, coordinates, and implements production-based project improvements. Periodically reviews plant layout and recommends changes to increase productivity and efficiency based on current and future manufacturing requirements. Develops cost estimates to decorate or process new or redesigned products as well as creates manufacturing standards for all Operational Departments. Develops and maintains routings, material lists, and manpower requirements. Continuously monitors the operations to ensure that employees adhere to safe work practices. Ensures that no hazards exist in the workplace. Requires quarterly travel to locations in Gaffney, SC, Fresno, CA, Lewisberry, PA, Edwardsville, KS, and/or Ontario, Canada. Partial virtual/work from home benefit available.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field and 2 years of manufacturing experience. Must have experience with: 5S and Lean Manufacturing Techniques; Value Stream Mapping; Visual Management; Kaizen Events; AutoCAD; SolidWorks; and NetSuite Operating Systems.
