TAT Limco Airepair, a subsidiary of TAT Technologies, is looking for a qualified Industrial Engineer. The company is an MRO services (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) provider for heat exchangers and other thermal aircrafts parts. The company employs 180 employees and work with various airlines around the world. This important position will support our Operations and Engineering Group and perform the following duties:

• Suggests, implements, and justifies process improvements to all methods, processes, and equipment for a more modern, efficient, and cost-effective production facility
• Prepares project system layout including detailed specifications, drawings, process flow charts and schematics
• Designs, directs, and leads full scale engineering projects, involving aspects of project and action plan kick off, Cost and ROI analysis, DMAIC methodology and design of experiments
• Works closely with engineering, production, and maintenance to provide technical support and troubleshooting proficiency in all areas in production
• Develops, plans, and coordinates the feasibility assessment, procurement, installation, and integration of capital equipment
• Maintains safe working equipment plant systems and an accident-free environment while ensuring compliance with all state and federal policies and regulations

• Leading process optimization efforts to address specific business requirements and to eliminate waste from the assembly processes
• Supporting Production Engineering projects and initiatives with a focus on reducing costs, improving quality, and improving customer satisfaction
• Working with cross functional teams to develop best practice solutions
• Utilizing a wide range of Industrial Engineering, Lean, and Six Sigma tools and techniques to make process improvements
• Performing Time Studies to understand processes and performance metrics
• Documenting processes using process mapping and value stream mapping

Requirements

• BS Manufacturing / Industrial/ Mechanical Engineering, or affiliated engineering field
• Experience working in manufacturing environment involving mechanical, electrical, and chemical aspects
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or greater
• Recommended proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Optional proficiency with Adobe applications and Solidworks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
