Industrial Machinery Technician - Mechatronics / Mechanical

Job Type: Full-time

Work location:One primary location in Burr Ridge, IL with occasional travel

Requirements:

· Required 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in similar position

· Required 4-year degree or combination of education/experience in industrial machinery field

· Required valid Driver’s License

· Required general knowledge of Engineering principles, basic understanding of motors, bearings, bushings, gear boxes, valves, pumps, relays, switches, AC and DC drive controls, circuit boards, caliper, micrometer usage, and shop power tools is necessary.

· Must be able to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature

· Required ability to work from prints, diagrams, schematics, operation manuals, and specifications.

· Must be able to lift 50lbs & the ability to stand/ stoop/ bend/ and or crouch for long periods of time.

 

Job Duties:

· Generate detailed service call reports, composing emails, sending service estimates, creating simple spreadsheets and inputting telephone conversation information related to service into our CRM database (data entry).

· Service various types of hand-held machines and tools on a daily basis.

· Able to troubleshoot machine problems and do basic maintenance and preventative maintenance; consists of understanding the equipment and how to maintain it

· Responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships and understanding the importance of professionalism at all times as one of the key liaisons between customer, sales team, and factory engineers, it is imperative that candidate maintain good business ethics.

· Communicate with International manufacturers of equipment to help diagnose issues that arise supporting our customers.

This job is contingent on a background check and drug screen. We offer benefits after a 90-day introductory period.

This position is spent 75% on small equipment repair and phone support for larger equipment in the service center, some travel is required to install machines, train staff, and take service calls as needed. Some international travel to Canada and Germany on occasion.
