Position Description:

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining all industrial equipment at the site. This includes installing/repairing mechanical equipment, conveyor belt equipment, fabricating and welding. The individual must be able to demonstrate proficiency in gearbox rebuilding, equipment alignment, welding and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems

What you’ll do in this role:

· Troubleshoot and perform repairs and maintenance and parts of equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic repairs.

· Repair production line equipment including conveyor belts, and shredding equipment.

· May perform or assist in the installation of machinery and equipment.

· Cutting and welding.

· Performs maintenance duties and other duties as assigned by shift supervisor/general manager.

What you’ll need to be successful:

· Demonstrate continuous professional growth and problem-solving skills.

· Prior relevant maintenance experience.

· Teachable attitude and ability to learn on the job in a fast-paced environment.

· Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces and lifting at least 50 lbs.

· Willing and able to work any shift schedule, including nights and (weekends if needed).

· Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.

· Knowledge of quality concepts and methods.
