Job Summary

As an industry marketing manager, you will work with a cross-functional team to advance the Ansys brand, generate demand, and foster ongoing engagement with Ansys prospects and customers within the industrial equipment sector. You will develop and use your knowledge of industry challenges, initiatives, trends, opportunities, competitors, market share, buyer personas, and buying processes to help identify and market Ansys solutions to the industry.
The industry marketer will be a key member of the industry center of excellence (COE), collaborating with the COE members, including the industry chief technical officer (CTO), along with other technical and sales representatives to define industry messaging, set priorities, and provide marketing support.


Key Duties And Responsibilities

Develop and enhance industry expertise by consuming and analyzing information from internal and external sources. Use your industry knowledge to synthesize and communicate industry trends and priorities.
Serve as a core team member of the industry COE. Act as the liaison between the COE and the marketing organization.
Work with other stakeholders to create, execute, and communicate a comprehensive multichannel marketing plan that encompasses campaigns, events, and foundational marketing activities.
Work with marketing and technical teams to create and manage a comprehensive set of industry collateral including messaging, slide decks, solution content, application content, product content, use cases, customer testimonials, e-books, and white papers.
Develop, track, and communicate metrics to measure success at a content, campaign, and industry level.
Work with other stakeholders to prioritize, execute, and support industry and Ansys events by providing insight, strategy, messaging, and on-site services.
Assist the public relations team by identifying public relations opportunities, support those opportunities with messaging, and coordinate support with subject matter experts. Help identify and coordinate customer reference activities.
Maintain a working knowledge of Ansys products and solutions as they apply to the industrial equipment sector, to guide collateral creation and identify areas of opportunity.
Own and update the industry presence on Ansys internal and external digital properties.
Provide sales enablement plans, materials, and training.
Track industry leads through the pipeline to ensure timely assignment and follow up.


Job Minimum Requirments And Qualifications

Bachelors degree or higher in engineering, marketing, computer science, or a related field.
Three years of experience in a marketing role.
Experience in, knowledge of, and passion for the industrial equipment sector.
Ability to manage complex projects.
Capacity to grasp technical concepts and communicate them to multiple levels of the targeted companies from executives to individual users.
Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed, matrixed organization.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (U.S. and global).


Preferred Qualifications

MBA or other advanced degree in marketing or engineering.
Experience in simulation or engineering-related software domains.
