We are looking for an Infotainment System Product Owner who would research and identify industry trends of connected vehicle space focusing on Bluetooth, mobile apps, and Wi-Fi domains (Subject Matter Expert) of Bluetooth, mobile apps, and Wi-Fi domain. Collaborate and contribute to technical spec writing of products and services within the said domain.
Responsibilities:
  • As a product owner, you will be responsible for RFI/RFQ, prototyping, spec writing, contract negotiation, roadmap definition, and supplier management.
  • Ownership of products and services which leverage Bluetooth, mobile apps, and Wi-Fi domain for the in-vehicle infotainment system.
  • Research and identify industry trends of connected vehicle space focusing on Bluetooth, mobile apps, and the Wi-Fi domain.
  • SME (Subject Matter Expert) of Bluetooth, mobile apps, and Wi-Fi domain.
  • Collaborate and contribute to technical spec writing of products and services within the said domain.
  • Communicate with Tier 1 suppliers on head unit improvement points related to Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Willingness to participate in after-hour support meetings as required.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standup, sprint planning, sprint refinement, and sprint demo.
  • Report impediments and/or enhancement opportunities to the management.
Indicative Skillset:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in spec development of head unit systems, preferably (related but not limited to) Bluetooth, mobile apps, hands-free calls, navigation, and Wi-Fi functions.
  • Experience in software/hardware device testing of Android and iOS devices is a PLUS.
  • Prior experience with device certification (i.e. Android, iPhone) process is a PLUS.
  • Good understanding of vehicle electronic systems including head unit and body ECUs.
  • Excellent understanding of Bluetooth classic and BLE profiles such as HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP, MAP, HID, GATT.
  • Strong knowledge of Bluetooth protocol architecture and layers such as RF, Baseband, LMP, L2CAP, SDP.
  • Scripting skills, including, but not limited to: Python, Perl, Ruby, and Bash.
  • Good understanding of Bluetooth SIG specifications.
  • Working knowledge in requirement writing including function specifications, RFI and RFQ. Ability to articulate and dissect complex issues into a simple and meaningful format.
  • Experience in translating requirements into test artifacts and evaluate for expected behavior.
  • Understanding of software testing lifecycle in Agile and Waterfall methodology.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment including multiple parties such as the company team members, business partners, and external suppliers
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OrangePeople-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OrangePeople Account Management as requested.
