Samtek Inc, is looking for Infrastructure Engineers (Jr/Mid/Sr) to help the adoption of public cloud in Federal Government agencies.



Infrastructure Engineer Job Summary:

We’re in search of Infrastructure Engineer who can seamlessly mesh tech know-how with business acumen to help us navigate all our cloud computing needs, including infrastructure design, maintenance, support and planning, and everything in between.This position provides solid experience in cloud-based infrastructure and a firm grasp of IaaS/PaaS/CaaS technologies, platforms, networking and web applications. It also provides great opportunity to help create more secure and efficient infrastructure for our clients. Not only can you help us connect the dots and evolve our cloud capabilities over time, but you’re also evolving your own capabilities as an engineer and keeping an eye on developments that can support our expansion.



Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities:

* Provide cloud onboarding support

* Write and maintain infrastructure as code

* Provide site reliable engineering support

* Maintain testing and development environments

* Support the implementation of moderately complex projects in DevOps

* Automate CI/CD with Jenkins, CircleCI

* System operations and troubleshooting

* Conduct proof of concepts

* Respond to automated monitoring tools



Basic Qualifications:

* At least 3 years (for Junior) of experience n a similar role as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer

* 8+ years of experience (for Senior) in a similar role as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect etc.

* Hands on Experience building scalable infrastructure in the public cloud

* Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.

* Experience with AWS services

* Experience with technology products or services like Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Github, Gitlab, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.

* Experience with scripting/programming like Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash

* Proficiency in automating and optimizing processes



Preferred Qualifications:

* Public Cloud Certificates (AWS or Microsoft Azure)

* Hands on DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering Experience

* Track record of managing and troubleshooting technical and integration projects.
