Job Summary:

Floor Coverings International Montgomery County provides the BEST in-home flooring experience in North America and is a fast-growing, turnkey flooring provider. We are seeking a Sales and Design Associate who will help busy homeowners navigate the process of selecting new floors for their home by conducting in-home design consultations and sales.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be self-motivated, work independently, communicate well, be highly organized and enjoy a team atmosphere. Experience in the flooring industry is a plus but not required. The right individual will play a key part in the expansion of our company and will have the opportunity to grow as the company grows.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct 5 to 10 in-home consultative sales appointments each week.


• Follow our proven sales system using our devices and software (non-negotiable).


• Document each customer project including project scope, measuring the area, understanding the installation requirements and challenges and suggesting products to meet customer needs.


• Participate in local marketing and networking events to increase lead flow and help grow the business.


• Participate in on-going training and education sessions and weekly sales meetings with other team members.


• Assist in development and delivery of local marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

• The Design Associate will complete a thorough on-line training program prior to beginning and attend hands-on training sessions.


• Enjoy using a goal-oriented, measurable sales approach.


• Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record with the ability to safely drive a company vehicle, carry sample boards in and out of homes and walk up and down steps daily.


• Must be available to regularly conduct in-home sales appointments weekdays, evenings and some Saturdays with schedule flexibility.


• Strong oral and written communication skills with customers over the phone, email and SMS.


• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and experienced using a PC, cell phone and tablet for all work functions.


• A well-groomed appearance and positive attitude are a must.


• Able to work independently without supervision.


• Must pass a background check.


• The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s or associates degree. Prior experience in sales and/or flooring a plus.
