Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Instructional Designer to join our team, supporting a high-profile project for the U.S. Navy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create design guides, lesson strategies, and assessments, along with developing IMI III online lessons, video scripts, and supporting materials. If you're a tech-savvy self-starter who prides themselves on meeting deadlines, we encourage you to apply. Previous Navy or other military experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Consult with clients to identify new requirements and strategies.

Collaborate with a diverse team of instructional designers, media specialists, programmers, quality control specialists, subject matter experts, project and program managers to design and create new training.

Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the ADDIE model and instructional design processes.

Foster design innovation.

Participate in visual design, prototyping, usability testing, and evaluation.

Review products throughout analysis, design, and development to ensure a logical course flow and compliance with style guidelines and standards.

Work under the supervision of the project manager or lead instructional designer to develop and document instructor-led, paper-based, and online curricula or performance support solutions.

Design and develop SCORM-compliant and 508-compliant eLearning courseware and training materials.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need:

United States Citizenship and the ability to obtain a NACI clearance.

Prior experience in the U.S. Navy or another branch of the U.S. Military.

A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years' experience in eLearning design and development, as well as adult learning theory.

Proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Working knowledge of at least one development tool (e.g., Lectora, Captivate, Storyline) - experience with AIM or MELD is advantageous.

Broad knowledge in the field of human-computer interaction and performance-centered design.

The ability to present complex information clearly to an online audience.

Demonstrated utilization of the ADDIE model.

Strong writing and oral communication skills.

Excellent presentation, facilitation, interpersonal, and client interaction skills.

Meticulous attention to detail, quality assurance, and editing skills.

The ability to prioritize and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.

Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

An active NACI or DoD Secret clearance is a plus.
