Description:

We are committed to work life balance by promoting this REMOTE telework option. These job requirements allow the employee to work their entire schedule somewhere other than a Lockheed Martin designated office or job site.

As an Instructional System Designer (ISD) on the F35 ALIS and mission planning training development team, you will apply the ADDIE process to training requirements to create and sustain courseware, create and sustain work instructions, attend program and team meetings, collaborate with your team members, subject matter experts, engineers, and other product teams.

The candidate selected:
  • Will adhere to approved style guides and JSF ISD instructional design plan that documents policies and standards.
  • Will be involved in the all parts of the ADDIE process for a variety of training projects and training scenarios to ensure the effective development of sound courseware content to meet the customers needs.
  • Must have excellent writing, editing, and oral communications skills.
  • Must be able to communicate with engineers, graphic artist, and subject matter experts.
  • Must be able to read and understand technical data.
  • Will create and sustain work instructions.
  • Must be a proven self-starter with an ability to interact affectively with military industry, and academic partners.
  • May participate in training needs analysis and gap analysis.
  • Will develop training using the program of record Learning Content Management System (LCMS).
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft, to include: word, excel, power point, outlook and teams.
Must be familiar with F35 ALIS, MPE or admin software applications.
  • Will work onsite at Eglin AFB, FL.

Basic Qualifications:


The following are basic qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 years recent F35 ALIS or mission planning experience within the last 12 years.
  • At least 5 years of experience creating and sustaining formal training products.
  • At least 5 years of experience applying Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles and best practices to analyze design, develop, implement training products:
- Instructor Guides
- Student Guides
- Supplemental Teaching Materials
- Work Instructions and Job Aids
  • Experience applying adult learning theory, training principles, and techniques to training development
  • Experience developing technical solutions to complex problems that require regular use of ingenuity and creativity
  • Able to multi-task a fast paced work environment
  • Experience applying writing, editing, and proofreading skills to training products
  • Experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud to include Captivate, InDesign, and InCopy.
  • Experience using Learning Content Management System (LCMS) as a developer.
  • Experience using TEAMS, JIRA,
  • Experience with Multi-Media Design Architecture and eLearning standards including Interactivity Level 2 & 3, SCORM, and Web environments
  • Strong interpersonal and teaming skills

Desired Skills:


The following are desired skills:
  • Excellent writing and editing sills.
  • Familiarity with military training standards and developing training for military ( domestic or international) customers.
  • Working knowledge of F35 ALIS or mission planning software.
  • experience creating work instructions
  • Experience developing Job Aids using Adobe Captivate
  • Experience using agile tools such as Confluence or JIRA
  • Experience using a Learning Content Management System such as dominKnow, 360 or similar program

Ability to Work Remotely:

Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:


The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $81,600 - $153,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:


The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $71,000 - $136,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
