SUMMARY
Colliers Mortgage is seeking its next Insurance Manager to oversee all functions of our extensive property insurance portfolio. This highly visible role will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of our portfolio are being held to the highest standard and maintaining our position as leading servicer of commercial and multifamily loans. This will include oversight of all annual pre-funding insurance reviews, ensuring all compliance requirement are met with regards to loan and lender requirements, collection of all necessary and applicable insurance documents, timely payment of premiums, and above all else providing the best possible service to our clients, business partners, and team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversight of all aspects of the insurance department, including collecting evidence of insurance and invoices, ensuring policies comply with loan documents and lender requirements, working with force place carriers to ensure loan compliance, payments of premiums due, and updating the servicing system Management functions will include delegation of duties, training, coaching, staffing, review and writing/revising policies and procedures Review and approval of team disbursements Providing exemplary customer service to lenders, borrowers, agents, and Colliers staff Ongoing monitoring of the insurance portfolio Manage insurance loan event tracking and lender reporting requirements Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
5+ years of commercial lines insurance experience required 2+ years of management or supervisory experience required Knowledge of commercial/multifamily mortgage banking, escrow duties, loan documents, and applicable laws Familiarity with various Lender Requirements such as those of Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSE), Ginnie Mae, Life Insurance companies, and HUD/FHA preferred Familiarity with multifamily housing and applicable insurance requirements Understanding of commercial property and liability insurance concepts Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations Experience reviewing and amending internal policies and procedures when necessary Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook Excellent problem solving and decision making skills Time management and delegation skills
