Are you interested in anInternshipopportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing anMS or PhDtoparticipateinpaid intern opportunities.Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.

Your role:

Develop novel ultrasound image analysis algorithms using deep learning and signal processing methods
Prepare and process large volume of ultrasound data
Conduct extensive validation of the proposed algorithms
Publish research in conferences and journals
You are a part of a leading team of scientists within Philips Ultrasound Research, Cambridge, focusing on development of tools to improve medical ultrasound.
Taking the lead on part of a challenging research project and collaborating with a team of scientists
Exploration of cutting-edge deep learning based segmentation and detection algorithms on ultrasound images
Designing and training networks on clinical data and evaluating performance
Working with advanced imaging systems and modalities (e.g. advanced 3D/4D ultrasound)
Reporting results in the form of technical documentations and presentations
Following best practices to develop reproducible codes and participate in internal code review.


You'rethe right fit if:

Computer Science / Electrical / Biomedical Engineering or Mathematics students are welcome to apply. MS or PhD candidates are preferred.
Must have hands on experience with deep learning based image segmentation, and computer vision
Extensive experience with deep learning tools and frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch etc.)
Knowledge of image processing tools and algorithms; experience with medical imaging and/or ultrasound physics is a plus
Good to have prior experience working with transformer or any foundation model
Highly proficient in Python and version control (e.g. git)
Ability to work within a team environment and should be self-motivated with the ability to plan and execute
Ability to communicate in English effectively, both written and verbal

Philips Transparency Details


The hourly pay range for this position is $33.00-46.00, plus overtime eligible.The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factorsincluding,job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
