Principal Responsibilities:
Java development (primarily backend and mid-tier. Potentially front end depends on project deliverables) within a cloud environment
Java code optimization
Testing new features and implementing as appropriate
Diagnosing and fixing production issues
Skills & Experience:
6+ years of software development experience
4+ years of cloud development experience using AWS
Perform complex application design and implementation in the latest technologies: Java, Oracle, Aurora Postgres/Global, PL/SQL, Python/Perl, RESTful, Power BI
Proficiency in Unix, Windows, Shell scripts, Batch Scheduling
Create features that are secure, scalable and accessible using standard Webservices APIs
Experience with CI/CD solutions leveraging tools including GIT, JIRA, Jenkins and Maven
Experience with Splunk for data analysis and reporting
Solid knowledge of Agile development and experience with Scrum or Kanban frameworks
Solid knowledge of TDD (including code coverage)
Strong organizational and presentation skills with solid writing and verbal communication
Experience in containers technology preferred and a big advantage
Financial industry experience a plus
