Team Overview

We're seeking a Java Developer in New York to be a core member of our global team.

You'll work hands-on with our Post Trade and RegTech products, collaborating closely with dedicated teams from various domains. Your role will be dynamicshifting between products based on our ever-evolving priorities. A knack for adaptability and an eagerness to learn will be key. Role Responsibilities

  • Participate in various stages of the software development lifecycle, contributing to design, development, and testing efforts.
  • Work alongside senior developers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and assist in translating them into technical tasks.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of microservices, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Demonstrate growing expertise in Java, related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot), and database interactions using SQL.
  • Collaborate in the creation and updating of technical documentation, focusing on clear code comments and documentation practices.
  • Support the testing process, including test validation, and assist with the CI/CD pipeline for efficient product releases.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software issues under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and best practices, seeking guidance and feedback from senior developers.


Required Skills

  • 2+ years of Java development experience
  • Proficiency in Java and its frameworks, with familiarity in J2EE
  • Solid skills in SQL & PL/SQL for database and performance tasks
  • Experience with cloud tools like AWS is a plus
  • Familiarity with messaging/streaming tools, e.g., MQ, Kafka, or Redis is a plus
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Team player, comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical peers

In compliance with New York City's Salary Disclosure Law, the annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $125,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. EquiLend considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
