The
Job Accounting & Billing Manager
will handle the revenue recognition and job accounting process at Kantar Business Services (KBS). This role will work alongside the BPO team, performing the monthly process of recognition of revenue and will coordinate the year end qualitative revenue recognition process.
Role Description

Strategic oversight of end-to-end job accounting processes and billing, across KBS and BPO teams.

Work with Finance Business Partners and Project Managers to ensure understanding and compliance with processes and requirements that directly impact revenue recognition.

Work with the BPO to ensure job closure process is performed timely and accurately.

Validate qualitative review of journal entries resulting from job hard closures and %s PoC Year-End IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition compliance.

Build and account for non-standard jobs and coordinate the monthly non-standard job revenue and direct cost recognition process where applicable.

Support KBS in job accounting judgements when local knowledge or liaison is needed, including but not limited to IFRS15 direct cost recognition and revenue, PO and persuasive evidence and cost allocator job accounting.

Support the KBS and Finance BP in review of accrued and deferred revenue, ensuring action is taken by the business and issues resolved timely.

Co-ordinate local audit activity with the business, alongside the activity undertaken at the KBS, and provide internal and external auditors with requested documentation related to jobs/revenue/direct costs.

Participate in special finance projects as required, including process improvement initiatives and M&A activities.

Ensure billing plan are accurate, budget and / or date changes are updated according to controls requirements.

Ensure billing timeliness and accuracy.

Improve system integrations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Management.

Role Requirements & Capabilities


Bachelors/University degree in a related field.

Validated experience as a Senior Accountant or equivalent role, with a minimum of 2 years recent experience with Job Accounting and familiar with the straight-line revenue recognition method at Kantar.

Understanding of cost allocator and cost tracker jobs and how to lead them.

Strong understanding of local GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, with the ability to interpret and apply with judgement to a sophisticated business.

A keen eye for accuracy that builds trust in analysis being provided.

Ability to challenge the status quo and demonstrate outside of the box thinking.

Knowledge of ERP systems, processes, and workflow technology.

Full proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Proficient English (written and spoken), and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
