We are now seeking a Jr. Investigator to join our team. The Jr. Investigator conducts research and analysis, pulls information, and cites regulations using regulatory language, adjusting as needed. The Jr. Investigator will conduct a review of provider documents and provision of complete written reports (with supporting documentation). The Jr. Investigator provides input into monthly progress reports, periodic progress reports, and an annual summary report, as required.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience investigating and identifying noncompliance activities in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of compliance laws, regulations, and healthcare industry practices
  • Knowledge of health insurance cost sharing requirements for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance and / or ability to quickly learn complex information and apply the information to conducting investigations
  • Bachelors degree and certification such as AAPCs Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)


Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Great writing skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Work experience within health insurance is a plus
  • The ability to be flexible and adapt to new processes/systems
