Research, plan, design and administer building projects for our firm’s client applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning, building codes, and materials and will work under direct supervision of a Registered Licensed Architect. Prepare building specifications. Prepare construction drawings, including plans, elevations, details, and sections, as well as renderings and client presentations, either computer software or by hand. Prepare contract documents for building contractors. Visit worksites to ensure that construction adheres to architectural plans. Prepare predesign services, such as feasibility and environmental impact studies, site selection, cost analyses, and design requirements. Develop final construction plans after discussing and agreeing on the initial proposal with client developing design to follow state and local building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other ordinances. Create, manage, and improve BIM production model for DCM projects. Coordinate with architecture and production team for building detail and construction method. Support production team with material take off and production schedule. Develop work instructions for manufacturing drawings. Develop standard details and make diagrams for manufacture installation.

Position requires minimum of a bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering or closely related of study and a minimum of six-month internship with GA Studio Inc or comparable to familiarize themselves with DMC building delivery platform. Job located in Bessemer, AL, and any unanticipated locations throughout the United States. 40 hours per week; $58,074 to $77,189. per year.
