This position is responsible for assisting in the operations and deployment of strategic projects globally. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and or as necessary. In addition to the responsibilities below, the Junior Energy Engineer works under the Director, Managed Services Center performing routine and complex technical duties in project concept design, implementation and management of complex automation systems and technology integration to meet the intent of the project requirements. This includes providing detailed information and integration plans to customers, consultants, subcontractors, and the field installation team.
The location of work for this position will primarily be in the continental US with the possibility of projects overseas.

Complete utility bill analysis and Energy Star benchmarks
Conduct ASHRAE Level I and Level II energy audits
Support sales team in customer presentations, proposals and estimates for energy conservation projects and capital improvement plans
Conduct periodic client reports detailing options to improve upon energy and operational efficiency of existing HVAC, building automation, and lighting systems throughout the buildings
Utilize fault detection and diagnostics software (Beyond Analytics and others) to complete retro-commissioning studies and identify opportunity for energy efficiency upgrades for clients
Role will include proposal support for corrective actions identified using Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD)
Become client advisor utilizing FDD platform to establish long-term energy consulting relationships
Support incentive applications and maintain relationships with various utility and state programs including: NYSERDA, NJ Clean Energy, local utilities, etc.
Support a culture based on open/honest dialogue and involvement with all team members that demonstrates the value of their input and engagement in improving performance.
Support a culture of high performance and accountability in employee and site safety as well as other aspects of the business.
Requirements
Technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred, however, an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Knowledge of Fault Detection and Diagnostic (FDD) software, preferred
Understanding of utility rates
Desire to learn and adopt market leading technology
Knowledge of building automation and mechanical and electrical systems
Experience with fault detection and diagnostics and big data aggregation systems preferred, but is not a requirement

Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
Active participation in relevant professional organizations including ASHRAE and AEE
Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities.

Pay rate $70k-$75k DOE
