Mercer Portugal is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Lisbon office:
JUNIOR INVESTMENTS CONSULTING ANALYST UK Pensions Market (9 months internship)

Be an integral part of an exciting project, were we support our UK Wealth business; The Investments consulting team provides investment advice to pension schemes in the UK market; You will join a successful and growing team and have a real impact on the future of major organizations. This person will work directly with both the client consultants in the UK and Portugal and the Wealth specialist teams to ensure clients receive a high quality service from Mercer.

We will count on you to:
Supporting consultants in drafting client presentations, meeting agendas/minutes and any other required meeting materials; Supporting consultants in drafting client communications including strategy changes, single asset class manager and structure changes, market updates, Climate change and ESG analysis, etc.; Assisting in day to day client, consultant and regular queries; Supporting consultants in developing strategy reviews and implementing changes to the clients overall investment structure; Supporting consultants in governance requirements management of agreements, SIPs, client engagements, KYC/AML documentation; Supporting consultants with new client take-on process working with and alongside client take-on specialists, business development, Sentinel, operations and RRF; Liaise closely with external third parties (investments managers, actuary, auditors and others); Liaise closely with internal teams (PRT, Strategy, Actuarial and many others); Regular contact with the clients and consultants in the UK and may include regular visits to the UK.
What you need to have:
Academic background in Mathematics, Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering or similar areas; Fluent English level (C1); Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills; Self-motivated with an eagerness to contribute to the business; Taking ownership for work, always ensuring standards and deadlines are met; Works well under pressure, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Strong project management with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment.
