We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Junior-Level Business Intelligence Tools Developer(link removed) To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates with an academic background and prior work or internship experience in a related field, such as data analysis, data science, or software development(link removed)

Requirements

• Experience/Education: 0 - 1 year experience with a recent bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related degree with an academic background and prior work or internship experience in a related field, such as data analysis, data science, or software development
• Technical Skills: Understanding of database design, data modeling, data warehousing, and programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R
• Strong Analytical Thinking Skills: Analyze large amounts of data to extract meaningful insights
• Strong Communication Skills: Written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate with non-technical stakeholders
• Strong Problem-Solving Skills: needed to identify and troubleshoot problems with data sets, queries, and reports; and to work independently to provide a solution
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and tools: participate in BI training as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of or experience with cloud-based BI platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Databricks
• Knowledge of or experience designing and developing reporting solutions using two or more of the tools (listed below) as per business requirements
• Knowledge of or experience with BI tools such as IBM Cognos, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Informatica, SAS, Snowflake, Oracle, DB2
• Knowledge of or experience with Agile development methodology

Important Information about this job:

• US citizen or Authorized to work and lived continuously in the US for three (3) of the last five (5) years.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust background investigation.
• This job is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship.
• THIS POSITION REQUIRES RESIDENCY IN MARYLAND OR NORTHERN VIRGINIA and is PARTIAL REMOTE 2 DAYS A WEEK. THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A FULL REMOTE SCHEDULE.
• Fully-vaccinated status for COVID-19 is required as a condition of employment.
