ECS is seeking a Junior Scrum Master/Project Manager for our USPS customer to work in our Memphis, TN office.

Job Description:

This individual will assist design, develop, test and implement distributed applications as part of a systems development team. This individual will assist in providing feedback on and adhering to delivery dates.

Responsibilities:

  • Works independently or under only general direction on complex problems involving all phases of systems analysis.
  • Using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
  • Training, mentoring, and supporting scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices.
  • Determining and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items.
  • Scheduling and facilitating scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes.
  • Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements.
  • Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing.
  • Ensuring the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the scrum team.
  • Tracking project processes, deliverables, and financials.
  • Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices.
  • Helping the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments.
  • Resolve conflicts and issues that occur.
  • Support the product owner and provide education where needed.
  • Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders.
  • Coordinating deployments with Release Management.

Additional specific responsibilities include:
  • Assist in analyzing business requirements and data to derive technical designs, development plans and test plans to achieve development goals.
  • Assist in leading design meetings with programming staff and advise clients in all phases of system design and implementation.
  • Assist in developing technical design documents, flow charts, interface documentation, and technical architecture diagrams.
  • Assist in supporting new and existing applications through analysis, design and integration.

Required Skills:
  • US Citizen and must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, information technology or equivalent experience
  • Certified Scrum Master, SAFe preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a scrum master or in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Excellent people and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills:
  • Enterprise software development experience.
  • PMI Certification.
  • Version One experience.
  • GIT Experience.
  • Understanding of the following development concepts: SDLC, Agile, Technical Requirements development
