Groundfloor is seeking a highly creative individual who possesses a strong attention to detail and is eager to bring fresh ideas to the table. THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF:

• Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as within a team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and articulate design decisions effectively.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for staying updated with the latest design trends, emerging technologies, and industry advancements.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

• Collaborate with the product team and stakeholders to understand project requirements, user needs, and business objectives.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for our web platform, ensuring a seamless and visually engaging user experience.
• Design intuitive user interfaces that align with our brand identity and adhere to industry best practices.
• Ensure responsive and mobile-friendly designs that provide a consistent experience across various devices and screen sizes.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and iterate on designs, ensuring optimal user satisfaction.
• Stay abreast of the latest web design trends, emerging technologies, and industry advancements, and apply them to your design work.
• Assist in maintaining design guidelines and contribute to the development of our design system, fostering consistency across our web platform.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to ensure the successful implementation of design concepts.

Requirements

YOUR EXPERIENCE + A FEW NICE TO HAVES:

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Web Design, or a related field from a design school is strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in web design, or relevant coursework/project work during your education, with a focus on creating intuitive user experiences.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and web design best practices.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your web design projects, demonstrating a keen eye for detail, creativity, and usability considerations.
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
