Keeping Families Together Assistant Coordinator - Monmouth

Keeping Families Together is a long-term program aimed to assist DCPP involved families challenged with homelessness/housing instability putting children at risk for out-of-home placement or delaying reunification. KFT utilizes a housing-first model to work with our families in obtaining stable, subsidized housing. The program focuses on the following to help families overcome the obstacles that prevent the family unity they desire: 1) Reunification; 2) Housing Stability; 3) Vocational Counseling; 4) Substance Use Services; 5) Socialization and Self-Sufficiency; 6) Parenting Skills; 7) Strengthening Families Curriculum.

Position Title: KFT Monmouth Assistant Coordinator
Position Type: Full Time
Benefits Eligible: Yes; 40 Hours Weekly
Location: Long Branch, NJ
Department: KFT Monmouth

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the appointed contact person to the DCF designee
  • Will participate in four (4) quarterly KFT grant meetings and additional program design and/or evaluation calls, site visits as indicated
  • Caries a caseload of one family and availability to assign cases 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and holidays
  • Assists the coordinator in providing direct supervision to program staff and oversight of the entire program.
  • Assists in facilitation of trainings and outreach activities , assists in coordination trainings as needed.
  • Confirm that project outcomes, reports, and deliverables are submitted to DCF in a timely fashion.
  • Builds a culture of utilizing evidence-based research into the central and southern portions of the state.
  • Maintains positive relationships with community and project partners.
  • Confirms program will provide evidence-based treatment interventions
  • Facilitates team and family meetings

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in social Work, Psychology or related field
  • Three years post master's experience in a mental health or related field
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • 5 years working with children and families
  • LSW/LAC or LCSW/LPC Preferred
  • Valid NJ Driver's License with less than 6 points
