Asian Avenue Restaurant is Vernon’s top choice and the largest for Chinese food restaurant located in the heart location of beautiful Vernon. Our private dining hall is perfect for any event, with capacity of up to 100 guests and with audio and visual equipment for entertainment or business. We provide dine in, pick up, and delivery service to our customers. Currently, we are looking for one kitchen helper to join our team.

Main Duties:

• Clean and disinfect the kitchen area, including work surfaces, cabinets, storage spaces, appliances, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing.
• Storing ingredients and food items adhere to food safety standards.
• Receive, unpack, and properly store suppliers in designated areas such as refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards.
• Ensure utensils, cooking instruments, and cutting boards are handled and stored in their designated places.
• Dispose of kitchen garbage and replace garbage bags regularly.

Job Requirements:
• No prerequisites of education or work experience. On-site training will be provided.
• While there is no language requirement, ability to understand Mandarin will be an asset.
• Capability to perform effectively under pressure, particularly during rush hours.
• Ability to stand for prolonged durations.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts, which may include weekends, holidays, and late nights.
