POSITION SUMMARY
The Kitting Operations lead oversees the complete Kit and Assembly process including facilitating all actions done by warehouse staff to plan, procure, inventory, assemble and quality review high dollar value kits from the Stevensville, MD location. The Kitting Operations lead will assist the General Manager in ensuring operational excellence throughout the Kitting and Assembly operation.

Essential Functions Statements
- Directs and participates in all kit and assembly initiatives that are consistent with the companys overall growth strategy
- Report kitting department metrics to management (Program Management office, Fulfillment leadership and Market leadership)
- Order consumables (ex. Foam) for kitting or assembly of products while controlling costs associated with consumables
- Work with Procurement to schedule order and receipt of materials to support kitting execution.
- Control workflow and work schedule to ensure efficient and quality work is being performed
- Determines & coordinates quality/work instructions for won business to allow warehouse team members to perform job duties accurately.
- Supports the development of new product kit solutions to meet customer needs.
- Manages all aspects of the kitting and assembly including review, maintenance, and necessary improvements.
- Stays abreast of industry trends and new market opportunities.
- Work closely with warehouse manager(s) to help implement the production of kits
- Control inventory of fixtures and tools used for kitting process.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- 2-3 years in Warehouse environment, preferably with inventory management / kit experience
- 1 year of kitting management
- Program management tool (MS Project, Asana, or similar) experience
Education
- Associates degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Six Sigma training (green or black belt)
- System experience including NetSuite/Oracle, Slack, Excel, and other MS Office Suite tools
