WHO YOULL WORK WITH
Youll join the Product, Practice and Knowledge (PPK) department as part of the Knowledge Management team that supports a range of industry and capability practice areas in China. The global PPK group is a key function, which helps to identify, create, and leverage best of Bain content, expertise, and also helps Bain practice areas develop commercial strategies. The Knowledge Management team is critical to harnessing the best of our consulting staffs individual and collective expertise, making it possible for us to deliver extraordinary results for our clients.
WHAT YOULL DO
The role of China Knowledge Associate will be to focus on China knowledge codification & management, local product development, China business operations, and play a role as a go-to person for Greater China office inquiries related to internal knowledge.
Managing and preparing content contributions to the global knowledge base
Removing confidential information from client engagement materials and standardizing those as per Bain standards (sanitizing & disguising)
Writing abstracts and tagging materials to ensure Bain case teams can find the right content easily within Bains internal knowledge base
Posting content on Bains internal knowledge base so that the materials can be leveraged by global teams working on similar topics
Ensuring case teams follow compliance guidelines when submitting case summaries, proposals etc.
Managing the quality of content by identifying duplicative content, storylining content and archiving lower usage content from the knowledge base
Supporting the creation and periodic refresh of select China content, credentials, and knowledge system
Composing regular updates to GC management team on latest knowledge management
Conducting regular analytics and market studies to update view of external market trends relevant to China general business.
Support Knowledge Lead to create and distribute regular newsletters to China leadership on latest cases, proposals, practice knowledge and IP developments
Support Knowledge Lead in Business Strategic Operations
Maintain China office knowledge trackers, databases and affiliate lists/profiles
Supporting Senior Knowledge Specialist and Knowledge Lead with answering straightforward requests and knowledge capture tasks like taking and uploading notes from calls with consulting teams
Perform other related duties as assigned per GC business requirements
ABOUT YOU
Bachelors degree or above, with strong academic credentials
0-2 years working experience with exposure to one or more of the following functional disciplines: business analysis, market research, knowledge management, consulting, product development and / or project management
Good business judgement to be able to work independently within a remote set-up while working with multiple global stakeholders
Eye for detail and good command of English. Ability to spot small inconsistencies and fix them as per Bain standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with application of MS-Office toolkit (Excel, PPT, Word), ability to learn new tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
Go getter attitude someone who can work independently or with minimum supervision
Ability to communicate confidently with global audiences; participates thoughtfully during team meetings and updates
Flexibility to work closely with teams in a global setting. This may require working non-standard hours
Proven coach and mentor to juniors
