Position: Strategy & Planning / Product Planning Assistant Manager



[Summary]

Assists in analyzing and American Machine Tool Market / Product Trend to develop effective new product strategy. In order to align with company’s annual and long term strategic direction, she/he contact HQ in providing necessary information to support Team Leader in generating our Strategy (AOP/LRP, MBO/KPI). She/he will need to have extensive understanding of Machine Tools.

Key is making recommendations by identifying critical risk and benefits of each product strategy



[Main Responsibility]

Product Planning

- Assist Strategy & Planning Team Leader and product planning manager in analyzing America Machine Tools Market(product, industry, competition) by monitoring data on internet, interviewing sales, distributors, customers, and vendors, or by analyzing market data tool(such as USMTO, EDA, UCC, US Census, Penta)

- Updating monthly new product development / launch status.

- Assist in gathering customer, distributor, and our internal team’s feedback on new product development needs / America Machine Tools market situation.

- Assist in Generating sales material for new products

- Setup strategic meetings (creating schedule, agenda, etc.)

- Assist in preparing meeting data for Global Product Strategy Meeting, Monthly P2M, Field Marketing, and ET- PPM.

- Assist Product Planning Manager in creating technical analysis and comparison data between our product and major competition (Specification, Price, sales Trend).

- Assist Product Planning Manager in collecting and maintaining database that consists of major competition’s sales material, product information.



[Requirements]

- BA Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering preferred

- Demonstrate management and leadership skills that can help drive the company to the next level

- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced changing environment

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

- Team Player

- Strong networking skills needed to keep pace with contemporary manufacturing practices at better/best in class companies.

- Knowledge of the current Machine Tool Industry is desirable

- PC skills required ? Excel, Access, PowerPoint

- Experience or familiarity in CNC machines
