Role: Lab Technician/ Embedded Device Tester Exp: 10+yrs Location: 100% Onsite. Burlingame, CA Data center engineer who also has worked with embedded devices under development should be sourced*Needs experiences working in data center environment, or supporting device labs. Need profiles specific to Lab Technician who have a hands on experience into Embedded devices in lab environment than development and testing. Must Have: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical fields. Data center operation experience. Experience working with consumer electronics development.Job Description: The main function of a lab technician is to manage the prototype device farm to ensure they are ready to perform automated firmware and software tests. A typical lab technician may work under the supervision of a production engineer or a lab manager. This position requires physical presence at Metas office in Burlingame, CA 5 days a week.? 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Development and Management in Test Lab / Data center environment? Set up, change and maintain prototype devices.? Monitor device health, and perform manual remediation as necessary when devices cannot be automatically remediated.? Perform device configuration changes as requested by software engineers.? Investigate testing failures which may be the result of hardware issues.? Experience enabling and troubleshooting automated Continuous Integration - build and testing infrastructure such as Jenkins? Experienced being in on-call rotations for monitoring CI Infra? Experience working in Linux Dev Environment ? Knowledge of Firmware/Driver builds and build procedures ? Good to have - Knowledge updating device firmware on test prototypes, triaging device debug logs? Experienced in Server Management in Lab / Data center environment from BMC consoles? Experience handling Test Prototypes, Blade servers, Server racks, rack HW and equipment safely and appropriately? Experience using IT Automation tools such as Chef, Ansible to setup and push changes to Lab Servers? Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.? Ability to work independently and manage ones time.? Ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results. ? Working knowledge of Linux.? Python or bash programming. Top Skills: 1. CI/CD, JenkinsAdditional Details: Client nfra Lab consists of many small teams with 10 to 12 members working on AR Headsets development and associate will be part of the team to support on the development infra side. Would be good if candidate has a prior knowledge/experience in AR headsets.
