• We support clients in a wide array of industries including semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense industry, solar, energy storage, automotive and many others. Our highly-skilled chemists assist other scientists and engineers from companies in these fields to support a wide array of activities such as quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D and failure analysis.

Job Summary

• Our Organic Lab specializes in a wide variety of measurements including QC/QA, Failure Analysis and R&D support. We utilize a large number of techniques for this work including GC/GC-MS, ATD-GCMS, HPLC/HPLC-MS, FTIR, Raman Spectroscopy, UV-Vis, TGA/DSC, and NMR. The GC/GC-MS chemist will work in an exciting, fast-paced and dynamic environment and be part of an enthusiastic team passionate about providing quality data and answers to our customers in a timely manner. This individual will be responsible for helping with GC and GC-MS support for our customers. The chosen candidate must like running routine QC/QA work as well as developing measurements for new and challenging types of samples.
• The selected candidate will be part of the Organic Lab at our Fremont, CA lab in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, home of Silicon Valley.

Selected candidates will be working in the organic lab. Responsible for receiving and log in, kit prep and sample prep.

• Follow established SOPs
• Sample login, tracking, and returns using a LIMS system
• Sample transfers between different laboratories
• Sample kit preparation and inventory management
• Sample preparation for organic analyses
• Routine analysis using various methods
• Enter test results into LIMS in a timely and accurate manner
• Sample waste consolidation and disposal
• Responsible for the documentation of quality control standards and analytical results
• Responsible for compliance with 5S
• Meets and exceeds all company safety procedures and standards

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Chemistry.
• 1 year of analytical lab experience.
• Ability to be flexible and to switch tasks according to customer needs and priorities.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to work 2nd, some holiday & weekend coverage required.
• Good computer skills are required (analytical instrumentation software, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills.
• Must have initiative and be self-motivated.
• Good organizational and record keeping skills.

Preferred

• BS in Chemistry or Similar Science and 1-2 years of industrial laboratory experience
